At TentBox, we're all about freedom and adventure – but with that freedom comes a bit of responsibility. To make sure we’re welcome wherever we go, we all need to follow a few simple rules.

1. You’re responsible
First and foremost, you are responsible for yourself, your vehicle and everyone in your group at all times.
2. Drive safely
Seems obvious, but always follow the Highway Code and be a considerate, safe driver – on and off the road.
3. Respect the locals
When passing through or parking up, be considerate of local communities and follow all local rules and regulations.
4. Be neighbourly
If you’re sharing the space with others, park considerately, keep noise levels down (especially at night), and always be friendly.
5. Leave no trace
This is a big one. Take all rubbish and waste with you. Leave the place cleaner than you found it.

6. Take nothing
No matter how tempting it might be, don’t take anything from nature – no flowers, rocks or driftwood souvenirs. Look, enjoy, and leave it be.
7. Toilet talk
We get it – nature calls. Use a proper toilet whenever possible or bring a portable one. Never go in the wild unless it's absolutely necessary and you know how to do it properly.
8. Camp respectfully
Follow all campsite rules. If you’re wild camping, learn and follow the local regulations – every area is different.
9. Follow TentBox user guidelines
Make sure your TentBox is installed correctly and checked regularly, following the official TentBox user guidelines.
10. Be an ambassador
Wherever you go, you’re representing the TentBox Community. Let’s set the standard and make sure we’re always welcome.

Final thoughts
This code is all about respect. Together, we can protect the places we love, respect the people we meet and grow the TentBoxing movement in the right way.
