Have you ever wondered what owning a TentBox is really like? We want to share as much information as possible with our community, so that you can make better purchasing decisions.

Our TentBox ambassadors aid this process by sharing their stories and tips for life with a TentBox. This week, we caught up with Heather, to discuss her TentBox experience.

What TentBox do you have and why?

I have the TentBox Classic – the original roof top tent with a hard shell. It’s a super easy tent to use and pops up in seconds. It’s easily transportable too which means we’re able to get away quickly and easily.

We didn’t just want a tent on the top of our car, we wanted something a bit more special and the TentBox Classic delivers that.

What do you love about Tentbox?

It is easy to put up and down on my own, which is great for solo travelling. It’s also pretty roomie inside and has loads of compartments for things you may need, including enough room to get changed in. You wouldn’t think it has as much space as it does!

I love that it allows you to travel anywhere to sleep overnight without the need to unpack and mess around with tent pegs in the dark.

What are the best trips you’ve been on with Tentbox?

One of my favourite places I’ve been with TentBox would have to be Middleworld Farm in Robin Hood’s Bay. It’s an absolutely lovely campsite on a scenic 10 minute walk directly into Robin Hood’s Bay.

I’d also recommend Mappleton Beach in Hornsea. There’s a great cafe there called the old post office that allows dogs and has a family of geese living there!

I’d also encourage people to check out Cleveland Way from Runswick Bay to Staithes. It’s an amazing 109-mile-long footpath which runs between Helmsley and Filey straight along the cliff edge. Staithes is a lovely little village with places to eat and a few pubs, which is well worth the visit.

In the future I’m planning to go to Kielder forest, Newquay and the Spanish coast with my TentBox.

Would you recommend TentBox?

Yes! I think a TentBox is great for someone who isn’t sure yet if they want a full van or campervan but wants something more luxurious than a tent.
